Life in a Deep Freeze

Oh my goodness, it is beyond cold in my neck of the woods tonight.  It started snowing pre-dawn this morning after several hours of rain and a little bit of freezing rain.  It continued to snow off and on until late afternoon.

However, the precip isn't the worst part.  The actual temperature tonight is supposed to be somewhere around 0, and the wind chills are going to be 10-20 below zero.  Tomorrow isn't going to be much better with highs in the teens and sub-zero wind chills.

Needless to say, we didn't go anywhere today, and most of us aren't going anywhere tomorrow.  The roads are bad enough that school and day care are closed.  Unfortunately, Joseph has trucks to load and cabinets to build and supplies to order that can't wait another day, so he will have to go to work tomorrow.  I get to stay home and play with the kiddos!

We enjoyed our snow day today.  We slept in, ate a late breakfast, and watched football.  The boys played Yahtzee while Rylee napped, and I read.

We even managed to take the Christmas decorations down this afternoon, and I finished cleaning my craft corner.  I can actually use it now!!

My inspiration to clean came from my BFF's gift - a rotating washi tape holder/dispenser.  Isn't it pretty?

I love it, and I love snow days!!  We even lit the gas fireplace for a while.  It may take wild horses to drag me back to work.  Lol!
