Thundersleet - Really?

This is officially going down as the craziest winter I've ever experienced. We had thundersleet today and lots of it. There is a few inches of winter precipitation, mostly sleet, on the ground now, and a heavy band of snow is quickly approaching. This is absolutely nuts. Naturally, school and day care are closed tomorrow. I have mixed emotions about this. I'm always game for a good reason to miss a day of work, but I think this pushes the last day of school to June 7. This is a full 3 weeks later than it was originally scheduled. Of course, Aiden is thrilled about another snow day. It would be even more fun if the kids could actually go out and play, but I don't think sleet is fun for play. Joseph hasn't made up his mind about work yet. He's going to test the road in the morning. I hope he stay home. I love that he's responsible with a strong work ethic, but I'll worry about him being out on those roads. Plus, we really like having him around. Speaking of which, I think I'm going to go hand with him for a bit before I totally crash. My late night (er, early morning) is catching up with me. ~Heather
