Woe of a Working Parent

As if it isn't bad enough that we get so few hours with our children as working parents, but those are the worst hours of the child's day.  They are hungry, tired, and cranky.

Day care and school get them at their best.   When they are energetic and interested and fun, they are in the care of other people.

It's not fair!!

If I could afford to be home, I would be home.  I would get to be the one to teach and explore new things with the little people The Lord blessed me to raise.

But, no I have to deal with whining and crying and tantrums because I have bills to pay.

There are amazing times when the kids are playful and tender at home.  There seems to be a sweet spot between dinner and bath that is the best time to hang out as a family and enjoy each other.  Unfortunately, that time is small and fleeting.

I have to cling to those joyous times to get me through the chaos of another week and pray that the weekend comes soon , so I can get more of the "good" time with my kids.
