Books

I have loved books for as long as I can remember. My early favorites were Little Golden Books. I still remember the crack of the spine when I'd open it. I collected the first 50 Nancy Drew Case Files and read every one of them. When I could read itin less than half a dayI figured I needed to move on. Much to my father's dismay I moved on to Dean Koontz and Stephen King novels. I still read these authors when I get the chance. I also read John Grisham and Dan Brown which I share with my parents (who gave me my love of reading). My list of loved authors and books would be long. Sadly, I don't read that often anymore. I am usually too busy or too tired. In the last 2 nights I finally finished a Dan Brown novel that I missed when I first started reading his work. I found it when pre-ordering his latest novel for my nook which came out in May. It should not take me that long to read a novel. I think reading regularly is going to have to be one of the many things I do more of in 2014. It's just one of those things that I love that I miss and want back. I have a lot of thinking and planning to make room for everything I need time for in the new year. Hey, it's what new year's are for, right? ~Heather

  1. Hey! Check out Jon Acuff on Pinterest! :) He issued an Empty Shelf Challenge today, and I'm taking part in it. He is having everyone post a picture of an empty shelf of his Pinterest board, and the challenge is to fill it up by Dec. 31, 2014! I'm excited, since there are so stinking many books in my shelves that I want to read. lol :)

    1. You can post pictures of the shelf as it fills us with books, just to hold yourself accountable, and because it's fun to see everyones' progress. :)
