Holiday Travel

I don't think I will ever be away from home for so many days between Thanksgiving and Christmas.  It totally threw off my holiday mojo.  Of course, it didn't help that we came home to snow, ice, and closed schools.

We didn't have any problem with our shopping.  We actually had that done in plenty of time.  We even got a lot of candy made in time to share with co-workers.

However, I didn't get my decorating done, and that is one of my favorite things about Christmas.  I love our tree, our village, the tinsel, the Santas, the angels, the Nativities, the smaller trees, the Warmers, the lights outside - OK I love it all.  I'm so disappointed in our decor this year that I'm already ready to take it down, and I'm usually sad to take it down after New Year's.

Don't get me wrong, the memories we made on our vacation are priceless.  It was a great trip, and we need that time away together.  I just should have planned better in how I was going to get Christmas done right with so little time her we got back.

The whole Mommy guilt eats at me, telling me I should have done better for Aiden and Rylee.  I will do better next year.  I hope.
