Why do they make things difficult?

OK, so we finally made our way to Walgreens to get our flu shots tonight.  We usually get them in October, but we were waiting for some reason I no longer recall (maybe Tyler's birthday).  Then, in November we were all sick, but Rylee got hers at her 1-year check up.  Then, we went to Florida, came back to bad winter weather, had the holidays, and more winter weather.

With the flu ravaging, we thought we better go ahead and take care of it.  A dear friend's nephew has been very ill with H1N1 and is still in the hospitalized.  And most of you have probably seen Leslie Creekmore's tragic story (I'll be participating in a fundraiser for her March 1 - details later).  We decided better safe than sorry with all we are exposed to at 2 schools and 2 workplaces.

Well, Walgreen's wouldn't give Aiden the flu shot because you have to be 7.  Really?  Since when?  Last season he was 5 when he got the shot at Wal-Mart. If the great "they" want us all to be vaccinated, they need to make it easy for us to make it happen.  WM on Pleasant Grove has a clinic for the shots, but it's only open T-Th 11-4.  I really hate that I have to take off work, pick my kid up early from school, and go to a germ-infested doctor's office waiting room to get a flu shot.

I know we're kind of late getting it, but we're doing the best we can.  Work with me here people.  I guess I will be doing some research to find a solution that hopefully doesn't involve the clinic.

If anybody knows of a good place that will administer to my son and his parents, please share.  In the meantime hand sanitizer is my friend.
