Style and Fashion

In honor of the new Grace Adele catalog launching in the next few hours, I thought I would talk fashion.  I have never been a fashionista although I have loved some shoes and purses over the years.  I even succumbed to label snobbery when I was a teenager.  Anybody else remember the importance of Guess?

I've never really had a style.  I dress for comfort 99% of the time and hope that it hides my less than slim figure.  As I've gotten older I have had the desire to dress better and not so much like a poor college student.  I did not have a clue how to accomplish this, and I don't like shopping for clothes.

A few years ago I was introduced to Premier Jewelry at a home party.  The consultant showed us fun and easy ways to dress up our otherwise plain wardrobe with their jewelry collections.  I like it and bought several pieces over the next year or so.

Then in 2012 I watched The Scentsy Family launch their new brand at out Las Vegas convention - Grace Adele (named for the owners youngest daughter).  It was (and is) a line of bags, clutches, jewelry, and accessories.

The beauty of it is that they developed a simple system to help me look good.  Everything can be mixed and matched across styles and colors.  I absolutely fell in love with the scarves, and I learned a few cool ways to tie them (my fave is the vest).  It is so easy to put together a really nice look with what I have in my closet and a few Grace Adele pieces.

I'm not trying to say I look good everyday, but if I want to I can, and it's easy.  And it's fun.  Plus, I let myself play with clothes and color now.  I never would have put green and orange together, but this is what I wore yesterday.

How about purple and blue together?

Yep!! That's the bag and clutch I'm carrying now.  I especially love that I can change purses in less than 5 minutes - easy.

So, I may not be a fashionista, but I can pretend I am and have fun doing it.  I can't wait to place some orders from the new catalog.  There is a new coral color that I am dying to have for spring.  It looks gorgeous!!!

Would you like to play fashionista with me?
