Break the cycle

I just don't know why so many make the same mistakes as their parents.  You would think the next generation would see the errors and do better.  Beyond that you'd think the parents would want better for their kids and teach them to do better.

I am by no means saying I'm perfect or that my parents are perfect.  I'm also not trying to judge any particular individual.  It's just an observation that I've made of late that's sticking with me.  Probably because I'm very sensitive to making the same mistakes I think my mom made with me in parenting my own kids.

Unfortunately we can't go back in time to right wrongs, but we can learn and do better the next time and teach others what we've learned.
