Amazing Woman

I can't tell you how sad I was when I opened Yahoo this morning and saw the news that Maya Angelou had passed away.

I love her poetry and was enthralled every time I heard her speak.  She had the most amazing cadence to her voice.

She recently had to cancel and engagement here in Arkansas and sent the most incredible apology note.  Of course, it made the news, so I got to read it.  I could almost here her voice speaking it.

<sigh>

She was just so inspirational and had great advise.  She seemed so matter of fact and honest.  A real take me the way or don't take me at all kind of woman.
